Happy Folio Friday! Yes! Score - I love the idea of that being “Mork’s Egg.” Though I’ve never connected that specific meaning for the it - I have often wondered about the sculptures and such in the area where I live - “Jatkasaari” as it’s all new (this area was formerly devoted to shipping and was an industrial area - much of the land is actually ‘new’ - filled-in land in the bay). I wonder who the sculptors are. I’ve befriended an engineer who’s involved in the ongoing construction happening in the area - but have yet to meet an artist. Now when I meet a sculptor, I tell him about the egg.
Thanks for the compliments. That cartoon is from a feature length movie by… oh gosh.. what’s his name - Dave Fleischer and is called “Hoppity Goes to town.”
The tiger god wearing the French or Italian sailor T-shirt next to Tony may be a relative of a tiger hand puppet I’ve had since I was 22 named Tudy. He’s most ragged. Named after a fat Mexican kid I went to Jr. high with. He was picked up in Venice Beach CA, so is a bohemian.
Oh wow! Thank you for telling me all that :-) I’d love to see a picture of him if possible. “Tudy” was the nickname my daughter had until she was about 3 years old. The Tiger in the picture is definitely a bohemian too - but he’s supposed to be looking at the human viewer as a “godly being” - he’s simply hoping to be a real boy someday.
See, connection - more synchronicity. Knew I had to share that little silly piece of info. I knew you’d want to see him. I’ll try to take a shot later with my digital camera. My leg started freaking out again bad yesterday. In fact, I got a full energetic brain assault of some kind. If you have time, any energy would be appreciated.
It is simply beautiful. I never knew about 'salamander-fire spirit' and it's connection to the dragon, only that salamander - it comes from fire.......we have many little salamanders here around coming to our patios....loving those little ones.. ....now I will never be looking at them with the same eyes as before...
..then, with "there is a home-scene beyond" + "Oi! Out of dullness, the SONS of FIRE embark on the quest of the Holly Grail" ..the little spark of hope..is..lifted.................so needed today...so damn needed - thank you, John 🤍🤍🤍...........as always, a Friday Gift, FOLIO TEN!
Yes - there is an important connection between those two ‘fire-types’ - thank you so much for pointing that out. Oh - what kind of salamanders to you have? I’ve only seen ‘skinks’ in abundance - dark salamanders with the most outrageous blue tails.
Ours are very small, black with yellow spots or some yellow strips on their backs or sides..they are round-headed...cute.
Before your question I didn't know their kind/name, but then I looked them up to answer..and the name is Long-toed salamander, so, thank you for the question, I feel smarter now as I know our salamanders' name 😄🤓
